April gets its own intro because of the sheer numbers of tornadoes and outbreaks. I swear that the atmosphere sensed the month change, because it became active right from the very start. It was outbreak after outbreak, tornado after tornado, high risk after high risk. The tornadoes spawned by these supercells were monstrous in size and intensity. I know of two outbreaks in particular that left even me in shock. It's impossible to describe the destruction- impossible to describe these tornadoes. April was the killer month. This is the most devastating yet, and no chaser, spotter, or meteorologist will ever forget this month. April 2011 is truly the month that dealt the blow, the month that will be marked in records permanently, scarred in our minds forever. We watched in horror when massive cities were hit; watched in awe and excitement when they were in the open. This month drew ordinarily competitive chasers together to work together to clean up the damage. We stood together through the horrifically beautiful month of April. This nation came together. At the same time, while it drew storm chasers/spotters/meteorologists together, it still was the most terrible month in a year of disasters. These tornadoes were massive. Yet, chasers like us love April 2011 with a thrill, happy we saw tornadoes. We love months where there's massive outbreaks. April was and is a prime example. -the intro to April

It's for my records notebooks. Tornado season gets a place in YoD: The Records and its own notebook, and April itself could likely fill 1000 notebooks.
